Sign in at karmaboard.app, write your message in the Edit tab, then open karmaboard.app/player on any TV, computer, tablet or streaming stick and pair it under Screens using the 6-character PIN shown on that screen. Once paired, send it a message or a playlist and the letters clack into place.

Yes — menus are one of the most popular uses. Write each menu board in the Edit tab (up to 24 characters per line, 8 lines), save them to a playlist, and your screen rotates through breakfast, lunch and dinner boards, daily specials or drinks. Tip: create a separate playlist for each menu — breakfast, lunch, dinner — then switch your screen from the Breakfast playlist to the Lunch playlist at noon, and Lunch to Dinner at 5pm. No rewriting, just a quick switch in the Screens tab.

Send to screen puts a message up immediately, and the screen keeps showing it until you send something else. Save to playlist adds the message to a rotating list, so the screen cycles through everything in that playlist — your messages plus live content like weather, news, sports scores, flights and trains.

Yes — everything can be renamed, and a small pencil marks anything you can edit. In the Playlists tab, click the playlist title at the top to rename it (Breakfast Menu, Happy Hour, To Do List). Click the pencil next to any message in the playback list to rename that message. In the Screens tab, click a screen's name to rename it — Front Window, Bar Display, Break Room. Names save on their own and show up wherever that item appears.

Yes. When you edit, add to or reorder a playlist, it saves automatically and every screen playing it picks up the change within a few seconds — no re-pairing or refreshing. The card on screen right now finishes its turn first, then the new version takes over.

We built KarmaBoard to perform well across all modern devices, but browsers vary in power. Higher-powered devices like tablets and computers will have the best performance and the richest audio for the click-clack sounds. Less powerful devices like smart TVs and streaming sticks can still play KarmaBoard beautifully — they're just served a less resource-intensive version, with slightly simpler animations and sound, so everything stays smooth.

Most browsers block sound from playing on their own until someone taps or clicks the page at least once. If your screen is silent: tap or click anywhere on the board — that usually unlocks the sound right away. Then check the Screens tab to make sure that screen isn't muted. If it's still quiet, look in your browser's site settings for karmaboard.app and set sound or autoplay to Allow, so it plays automatically every time.

KarmaBoard looks best on a 16:9 widescreen display — a TV is ideal, from a living-room set to a lobby display. It also works great on tablets, and even smartphones can run the player in a pinch. Since the board is a wide 24-column split-flap grid, the wider the screen, the bigger and crisper each letter appears.

Any modern browser works for both the controller and the player: Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on TVs, streaming sticks, computers, tablets and phones. You manage boards from your phone, tablet or computer, and the screen can be anything with a browser — no app install required.

You can cancel anytime by clicking Manage Billing in the Screens tab. Your screens will stay active and continue playing through the end of your paid 30-day billing cycle. If you ever want to move your board to a different TV during your paid period, you don't need to cancel — just unpair the old screen and pair the new one using your existing screen slot.

Playlists can mix your own custom text with a wide range of live feeds: local weather; sports scores for the NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, college football and basketball, the WNBA, the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and Formula 1; NYSE top gainers, top losers and most active, plus the price of any single stock you choose; airport arrivals and departures; Amtrak train times; US and world news headlines; Quote of the Day; On This Day; and a time and date clock. The clock uses each screen's own local time, so every display shows the right time for where it is — no setup needed. Feeds update automatically while your screen runs.
